How future-ready is your business’s IT?

You might be happy with how your business’s IT stands up to the pressure today… but will it be able to cope tomorrow? It’s time to consider whether your tech is future-ready.

What are your thoughts on the technology used in your business? A recent study revealed that 90% of business leaders are confident that their current IT systems are "best in class".

But what about the future?

The same study indicated:

·         Only 39% of business leaders are confident that their current IT system is ready for the future

·         64% are concerned their technology may become outdated

·         Approximately half of the technology used by businesses is at its end-of-life.

When technology is no longer supported by the manufacturer or software provider, it's akin to driving a car that hasn't been serviced in years. It might run smoothly for now, but eventually, it will break down (likely at the most inconvenient time).

In the realm of business IT, cybersecurity is another major concern. The study found that 65% of business leaders worry about cyber attacks, and 56% admit they find it challenging to protect their business from these threats.

While you can't control if your business will be attacked, you can ensure it's prepared. The best way to do this is by keeping your IT systems updated and investing in appropriate security tools.

So, how can you ensure your business’s IT is ready for the future?

Examine your current setup closely. Is your technology beginning to slow down? Do you need to start replacing hardware or software?

If your business technology requires updates, don't wait until it stops working. Plan ahead and start preparing for upgrades now.

Additionally, ensure your team is trained on how to use the latest tools and systems.
